ubisys Zigbee Dimmer D1: Zigbee dimming actuator for retrofitting.
With the ubisys Universal Dimmer D1 you can individually and flexibly dim and switch your lighting throughout the house. You can integrate the D1 into scenes and automations via the various configuration options in the ubisys Smart Home app.
This universal dimmer allows for continuously variable brightness regulation of dimmable LEDs, incandescent lamps, high-voltage halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with wound transformer, low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic power supply or compact fluorescent lamps. Unfortunately conventional fluorescent lights can not be dimmed. The main electrical characteristics (R/L/C) of the connected load are measured when it is first switched on and the most suitable dimming method is automatically selected. However, it is also possible to specify a fixed phase angle or phase section. The power of the consumer may be up to 500VA, the peak current not more than 2.5A.
Function: The D1 is a smart dimmer with power consumption measurement for controlling the brightness of your lighting.
Versatile lighting control: With the D1, you can control dimmable LEDs, incandescent lamps, high-voltage halogen lamps, low-voltage halogen lamps with wound transformers and much more.
Smart Control: Can be controlled via conventional switches, radio-controlled Zigbee switches, Green Power switches, apps, voice commands (e.g. Alexa, Siri) and automations. A Zigbee gateway/hub, such as the ubisys Gateway G1, is required for control via Zigbee.
High Compatibility: The smart D1 is instantly compatible with countless Zigbee smart home systems, such as Philips Hue, SmartThings, FRITZ! Smart Home, Hornbach, Home Assistant. And via Matter* with many other systems (e.g. Apple Home, Google Home).

Integrated Electricity Meter The D1 records the actual electrical energy demand of the connected consumer and displays it in the ubisys app.
Always up to Date With the Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade function, these components always remain up to date. Firmware updates are free of charge.
Groups and Scenes Connected pushbuttons can be set up so that you can use them to control groups of lights or activate scenarios. The D1 has a 2nd input, which you can use e.g. as a scene button.
Compatibility with Philips Hue The Philips Hue Bridge/App currently supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard, but not all device types are displayed in the Hue App. Currently, only the ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can be controlled with the Hue app. When and to what extent the Hue App will support further ubisys products is not known. However, the ubisys gateway G1 and the components C4, D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can control Philips Hue light sources.

The Universal Dimmer D1 fits into sufficiently deep DIN 49073 boxes and can be installed behind any blind double switch or in a wall or ceiling outlet – so you do not need to replace your existing switches and sockets. Only unconventional switches, e.g. those used in bus systems (KNX/EIB), are unsuitable. The particularly compact design simplifies installation. Due to the robust and innovative radio technology, there are no special requirements for the electrical installation. The D1 is therefore not only suitable for new buildings, but also for refurbishments and renovations.
