The ubisys Router R0 is a Zigbee radio router and is used for forwarding Zigbee data in widely distributed buildings.
Note: The Router R0 is to be understood as an additional option. The components D1(-R), J1(-R), S1(-R), S2(-R), C4 and Gateway G1 also include the router function.
In order for you to enjoy the full benefits of your smart home, communication among your smart home devices must function properly. In spacious apartments, old buildings or large houses, it can happen that two devices of your system are not in direct range of each other. In these cases, the R0 forwards the radio telegrams of your Zigbee Smart Home devices, which means that you can also reach components in distant rooms.
Note: The Router R0 is particularly recommendable if there aren't enough installed Zigbee products with integrated routing, the network suffers from insufficient density and are only interested in the range extension.

Compatibility with Philips Hue The Philips Hue Bridge/App currently supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard, but not all device types are displayed in the Hue App. Currently, only the ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can be controlled with the Hue app. When and to what extent the Hue App will support further ubisys products is not known. However, the ubisys gateway G1 and the components C4, D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can control Philips Hue light sources.

Installation
The Router R0 fits into sufficiently deep DIN 49073 boxes and can be installed behind any blind double switch or in a wall or ceiling outlet - so you do not need to replace your existing switches and sockets. Only unconventional switches, e.g. those used in bus systems (KNX/EIB), are unsuitable. The particularly compact design simplifies installation. Due to the robust and innovative radio technology, there are no special requirements for the electrical installation. The R0 is therefore not only suitable for new buildings, but also for refurbishments and renovations.
