ubisys Switching Actuator S2-R: Zigbee Switch for Retrofitting.
This smart component significantly increases the living comfort in your home. Control up to two electrical loads with just one Switch Actuator. The S2-R is particularly suitable for integrating double switches/buttons that are coupled with lighting installations located separately in the room.
This universal switching actuator allows you to switch any two electrical consumers/end devices (motors as well) with a constant power draw of up to 500VA each. Topnotch and absolutely wear-free semiconductor switches (TRIACs) guarantee a very long-life span and silent switching. Perfectly suited for double light fixtures and double switches. This component has two connections for end devices (output, load) and two connections for operating elements (switch or push-button). Push-buttons can also be set up to regulate a group of lamps or even activate scenarios.
Function: The S2-R is a smart switching actuator with power consumption measurement for controlling two electrical loads (e.g. socket, light).
Smart Control: The control is via conventional switches, radio-controlled Zigbee switches, Green Power switches, apps, voice commands (e.g. Alexa, Siri) and automations. A Zigbee gateway/hub, such as the ubisys Gateway G1, is required for control via Zigbee.
High Compatibility: The smart S2-R is directly compatible with countless Zigbee smart home systems, such as Philips Hue, SmartThings, FRITZ! Smart Home, Hornbach, Home Assistant. And via Matter* with many other systems (e.g. Apple Home, Google Home).
More Convenience: To increase your convenience, the S1-R can be integrated into scenes, time-controlled actions and automations.

Integrated Electricity Meter The S2-R records the actual electrical energy demand of the connected consumer and displays it in the ubisys app.
Always up to Date With the Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade function, these components always remain up to date. Firmware updates are free of charge.
Groups and Scenes Connected pushbuttons can be set up so that you can use them to control groups of lights or activate scenarios.
Compatibility with Philips Hue The Philips Hue Bridge/App currently supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard, but not all device types are displayed in the Hue App. Currently, only the ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can be controlled with the Hue app. The Power Switch S2-R is supported by the Hue Bridge, but cannot be turned off via scenes (automations). When and to what extent the Hue App will support further ubisys products is not known. However, the ubisys gateway G1 and the components C4, D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can control Philips Hue light sources.

The Power Switch S2-R is to be installed in the control box of the sub-distribution on a DIN rail. The standardized design allows the replacement of an existing rail mounted device (e.g. a relais) by the smart S2-R. A flush-mount version for the installation behind a light switch or a wall or ceiling outlet is also available. Due to the resilient and innovative radio controlled technology there are no special skills needed when installed. This solution not only makes it ideal for new buildings but also for redevelopments and renovations. Additional components can be added and perfectly integrated into your smart home by and by.
