With the ubisys Switch Actuator, you can increase your living comfort and still reduce your energy consumption. Switch your devices on or off conveniently from anywhere and avoid unnecessary power consumption of your devices in standby mode, all possible using the ubisys Smart Home App.
This universal switching actuator allows you to switch any electrical consumer/end device with a constant power draw of up 3,680VA – corresponding to a current of 16A at 230V. The actual switching is done by a bi-stable relay that only draws power when switched and also happens to be extraordinarily reliable and durable. This component has one connection for end devices (output, load) and two connections for operating elements (switch or push-button).
Function: The S1-R (Series 2) is a smart switching actuator with power consumption measurement for controlling an electrical consumer (e.g. socket, light).
Smart Control: The control is via conventional switches, radio-controlled Zigbee switches, Green Power switches, apps, voice commands (e.g. Alexa, Siri) and automations. A Zigbee gateway/hub, such as the ubisys Gateway G1, is required for control via Zigbee.
Extremely User-Friendly: Control can be carried out either via Zigbee using a smart home hub or directly via Bluetooth (Zigbee Direct) from a smartphone/tablet without a gateway/hub. The use of Bluetooth (Zigbee Direct) makes commissioning and control child's play.
High Compatibility: The smart S1-R is directly compatible with countless Zigbee smart home systems, such as Philips Hue, SmartThings, FRITZ! Smart Home, Hornbach, Home Assistant. And via Matter* with many other systems (e.g. Apple Home, Google Home).
More Convenience: To increase your convenience, the S1-R can be integrated into scenes, time-controlled actions and automations.

Zero-Spark advantage: The S1-R features the latest ubisys "Zero-Spark" technology, which completely eliminates ignition sparks when the electrical consumer is switched on and off. This protects the consumer and the switching contacts of the S1-R and avoids bulky interference suppression filters.

Automate More comfort and security through automation: via individual schedules, you can define when your lights should automatically turn on/off. If you are once on vacation, you can also simulate a presence via the function.
Integrated Electricity Meter The S1-R records the actual electrical energy demand of the connected consumer and displays it in the ubisys app.
Always up to Date With the Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade function, these components always remain up to date. Firmware updates are free of charge.
Groups and Scenes Connected pushbuttons can be set up so that you can use them to control groups of lights or activate scenarios. The S1-R has a 2nd input, which you can use e.g. as a scene button.
Compatibility with Philips Hue The Philips Hue Bridge/App currently supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard, but not all device types are displayed in the Hue App. Currently, only the ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can be controlled with the Hue app. When and to what extent the Hue App will support further ubisys products is not known. However, the ubisys Gateway G1 and the components C4, D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can control Philips Hue light sources.

Installation
The power switch S1-R is to be installed in the control box of the sub-distribution on a DIN rail. The standardized design allows the replacement of an existing rail mounted device (e.g. a relais) by the smart power switch S1-R. A flush-mount version for the installation behind a light switch or a wall or ceiling outlet is also available. Due to the resilient and innovative radio controlled technology there are no special skills needed when installed. This solution not only makes it ideal for new buildings but also for redevelopments and renovations. Additional components can be added and perfectly integrated into your smart home by and by.
