Design your system according to your ideas, the ubisys Control Unit C4 offers you the option to control your Smart Home components via normal switches. No matter if you use other ubisys components or products of other manufacturers using the Zigbee standard.
The Control Unit C4 can be connected to other Zigbee components from our Smart Home product line to control lamps, shutters or other electrical consumers. It offers you to integrate more push-buttons, switches, motion sensors or twilight switches in your system.
Note: The Control Unit C4 is to be considered as an additional option, which provides additional inputs. The components D1, S2, J1 and their rail-mounted versions already have two inputs.
Function: The C4 control unit is a Zigbee wireless control unit that can be linked with other ubisys components to control lights, blinds or other loads. This allows you to integrate additional push-buttons, switches, motion detectors or twilight switches into your system.
Versatile Application Possibilities: The C4 has four connections for operating elements (inputs for switches or push-buttons). The connected push-buttons can be set up so that you can use them to dim lights, switch loads, control blinds or call up scenes, for example.
Note: The C4 control unit is an additional option that provides further inputs for your smart home. The ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R), S2(-R), J1(-R) usually already offer two inputs.
High Compatibility: The C4 is directly compatible with other Zigbee smart home systems, such as Home Assistant. And via Matter* with many other systems (e.g. Apple Home).

Flexible This component has 4 connectors for controls (inputs for switches or push-buttons). The connected push-buttons can be set up so that you can dim lights, turn on/off electrical consumers, control shutters or call up scenes, for example.
Always up to Date With the Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade function, these components always remain up to date. Firmware updates are free of charge.
Groups and Scenes Connected pushbuttons can be set up so that you can use them to control groups of lights or activate scenarios.
Compatibility with Philips Hue The Philips Hue Bridge/App currently supports the Zigbee 3.0 standard, but not all device types are displayed in the Hue App. Currently, only the ubisys components D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can be controlled with the Hue app. When and to what extent the Hue App will support further ubisys products is not known. However, the ubisys gateway G1 and the components C4, D1(-R), S1(-R) and S2(-R) can control Philips Hue light sources.

Installation
The C4 installation fits into sufficiently deep DIN 49073 boxes and can be installed behind any blind double switch or in a wall or ceiling outlet - so you do not need to replace your existing switches and sockets. Only unconventional switches, e.g. those used in bus systems (KNX/EIB), are unsuitable. The particularly compact design simplifies installation. Due to the robust and innovative radio technology, there are no special requirements for the electrical installation. The C4 is therefore not only suitable for new buildings, but also for refurbishments and renovations.

Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician. There is a risk of electric shock. Electrical shock can result in death lead. Prior to installation, disable voltage and cover live parts. Opening the unit or other devices interventions void the warranty.
